My random comic pick on The Comic Conspiracy: Episode 16 is the DC series R.E.B.E.L.S. by written by Tony Bedard with art by Andy Clarke, Claude St. Aubin and Scott Hanna. R.E.B.E.L.S. stands for Revolutionary Elite Brigade to Eradicate L.E.G.I.O.N. and this latest series follows Vril Dox after he loses control of L.E.G.I.O.N. and is forced to gather together a new team to get back control. There is more going on and Vril Dox and his team will have their hands full just trying to survive.I started reading R.E.B.E.L.S. on Ryan Higgins recommendation about a year and a half ago and I've loved it. This series is 29 issues (which includes one annual) and has been collected in 5 soft cover trades without volume numbers. Below is a list of the collected trades in reading order:

The Starro origin story that appears in R.E.B.E.L.S. Annual # 1 (Dec 2009) is excellent. Not sure if it appears in any of these trades, but it is definitely worth seeking out.
