If you come here every week, you know that I list the titles I'm looking forward, and this week will be no different. Here are those books that will be at the bottom of my read pile, because you need to save the best for last. Here are those books in order: Justice League Dark, All Star Western, Aquaman, and Green Lantern. Yes, I know the last two are Geoff Johns titles, but they are amazing reads that every month I look forward to.
Now there is a new book on my pull list called National Comics. DC is putting out some one-shots, and if the characters interest me I'm going to give them a try. Kid Eternity is the featured character this week, and to be honest I have no idea who this character i, but I figure I can give it a one-shot to see if I'm interested. You should too.
I had to pick up the latest trade paperback of Scalped, because that shit is so fucking awesome. Thank you again Ryan Higgins for suggesting this title to me. If you haven't tried Scalped by Jason Aaron you are indeed missing out on a dark, gritty, and intense look at life on the Rez. The ongoing series ends soon in single issue, but that doesn't stop Scalped from being a must read title from Vertigo. Pick up a copy of the first trade for yourself if you don't believe me.
As for my reading list from Marvel I'm still enjoying Captain America, Winter Soldier, and Spider-Man is entertaining enough, but with the Marvel Now looming I'm not sure if much of any Marvel titles will stick to my reading list. We will just have to wait to see.
Now it is time for you to get down to you local comic book store, and get your fix; unless you're just going to download them digitally from the Comics Conspiracy Digital Store then sit back and enjoy this week's dose.

Remember you can now find these titles and more in digital format at our Comics Conspiracy - Comixology Storefront or you can still order comics from us directly by visiting the shop, giving us a call (408) 245-6275, or dropping Ryan an email at ryan@comicsconspiracy.biz.

As usual I'll be talking comics on The Comic Conspiracy, and on the Geekbox Forums. Now get out there and enjoy some good old fashioned comic book reading.

  1. With Brubaker's run on Cap ending soon, I am going to jump back on with this issue to see how he wraps things up.

    1. I've liked most of Brubaker's run, but once he leaves I'm off the title. Marvel Now! doesn't really have anything to offer me.
