Random Comic Pick - Episode 14

My random comic pick on The Comic Conspiracy: Episode 14 is the Vertigo series Preacher written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Steve Dillon. I first read Preacher about two years ago and I was blown away. This is one of the best comic book series out there and a must read for anyone who loves a great fucking story. Warning Here!...If you are at all religious you shouldn't read Preacher because it is an intense, in your face, violent ride through the heart land of America filled with in your face deviant behavior, vile actions and at the helm of this ride is Jesse Custer who wants nothing more than to kick god's ass. You got to pick this up and read it. Ennis and Dillon have a way of giving you the outrageous and extreme that makes Preacher not only a phenomenal read, but also an amazingly drawn "Fuck You to god."

Comics Conspiracy is a great place to order comics by the way.

Preacher Reading List

Preacher by Garth Ennis and drawn by Steve Dillon is a must read in for anyone into comics. Here is a list of the collected Preacher soft covers:

01) Gone to Texas
02) Until the End of the World
03) Proud Americans
04) Ancient History
05) Dixie Fried
06) War in the Sun
07) Salvation
08) All Hell's A-Coming
09) Alamo

This nine volume set is broken up into story arcs. There are also hardcovers for this series that are still coming out. The fifth is slated to be released November 23rd, and the sixth (I believe final one) has not been solicited yet. These hardcovers, which cost $39.99 each, collect a certain amount of issues instead of story arcs. Either way you will spend a decent chunk of change to get the whole run, but it is so worth it.

I personally read Preacher as fast as I could afford to get each of these trades and I even had to wait for them to come in stock at Comics Conspiracy. Preacher is a very popular title and we are constantly reordering copies for the shelf. That in itself says something about this book you should be reading.
